The remaining show season slipped by and I have been quit remiss in writing! We concluded with one last show over Labor Day. Not exactly a stellar performance, but everything we need to work on came to light in our patterns. Key learnings included:
1. trotting off crisply in our equ patterns (no pony jogging!)
2. keeping both of my hands paralell in horsemanhip
3. keeping my horse collected, but not overbridled, in patterns
I am enjoying this fall and the arena now has "horsemanship trail" set up to help with straight lines and square corners.
The year of "bonding" is over and I can't wait for Sun Circuit!
My return to the AQHA horse show circuit after a new life, career, family and graduate school!
